Private Investigators

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence for Private Investigators codifies and regulates the activities of those involved in the, “Investigation process”.

The Award for Professional Investigators has been adopted by the industry on a, “”Self-regulation” basis. Security Industry Authority PI Licence qualifications and British Standard 102000 line up in perfect symmetry with the ethos and aspiration of training your staff and associates up to the requisite level.  Whatever the future holds, anyone conducting investigations must adhere to basic standards and have the skills and equipment to proceed in a timely and effective fashion.

Regan and his team have an unrivalled track record in training and supporting private investigators on their journey. We partner up with our graduates.

The best advice to anyone starting off is that the best business people are the best private investigators – a cool calculating analytical approach will always triumph.

Join the Association of British Investigators to confirm to your clients that you are part of an organisation that requires full professional indemnity insurance and have a clear DBS Check.

We keep you informed about the issues and developments in the Professional Investigator sectors and seek to maintain a library of educational items – we welcome your replies and observations, keep them coming, assist your fellow investigators to conduct ethical, lawful and successful assignments. Post your comments and replies to the posts and keep on topic. Be careful with the “Caps” key and don’t: “SHOUT”.

  10. Hi Kevin, Hi Kevin,

Great article, we recently had an incident where we used an agent who was not insured and this has had such a negative impact on our business from all angles. Insurance claims, potential loss of the client and not to mention the stress that came with it! I for one would like to see licensing come into play sooner rather than later.
