The invitation belonged to one of the ABD members in Ireland – his daughter went onto to become a world-renowned PI and Trainer.
Aileen A Rivers in her book: “A Brief History of the Private Detective” described the event:
“The Gresham Hotel, Dublin was the venue for the 1966 Annual General Meeting on 24th September. The President, Cyril Green, reported that the acquisition of their first separate offices in the history of the Association, and the first HQ, had proved an entire success. He gave details of the work of the Legal Aid Fees Board, the Charter Committee, the Membership Selection Board and the Disciplinary Board. The Reports of the various Officers were considered and approved”.
