The World Association of Professional Investigators (WAPI) is a professional body with members in the UK and throughout the world.
WAPI were celebrating 25 years since they were founded by Ian D Withers.
The Varsity Directory of Investigators and Process Servers were proud co sponsors of the celebrations that took place at the Union Jack Club, Waterloo, London on Saturday, 15th November 2025.
The morning sessions were well received and Chris and Sam from Palatine R and D Limited gave an excellent presentation on trace resources and techniques called: “Desktop Tracing Tips and the DPA”.
Roland Ellingworth was also, equally “On point” with his presentation called: AI in Investigations & Business: Integration, Insight, and the Privacy Imperative.
The Managing Editor of the Varsity Directory of Investigators and Process Servers was present as the co sponsor of the event and Kevin J Regan spoke about his experiences working in Detective agencies 40 years ago.
Going back 40 years ago – detective agencies were not computerised and consisted of shelves of telephone directories covering the UK’s business and domestic sectors. Most work was conducted using the telephone and doorstep enquiries. Agencies contacted each other and were sourced from the Varsity Directory of Investigators and Process Servers.
